These earrings are made from sterling silver and 23.5ct gold. The technique used is an ancient Korean one, where the gold is fused to the silver. The silver has been oxidised to blacken it to contrast with the gold. The marks making up these birds have been punched into the surface by hand, so each pair will be slightly different.
