These halved ear studs are made from sterling silver and 24ct gold, they are slightly domed in shape and when fitted together they measure 23mm in diameter. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at a high temperature. Letters and symbols have been punched into the silver by hand and the surface has been given a worn effect to simulate the look of an antique found object.
