Traces slice brooch. Enamel on steel with hand drawn marks. After firing marks are gently abraded to create delicate tonal details and the two layers are riveted together with a silver rivet. The addition of an etched and oxidised silver ring adds depth. The brooch is coated with a preservative wax and backed with linen.
Strong Bar magnets are placed under clothes to fix brooch in place. Brooches can be worn on fabrics ranging from silk to leather, with no pin hole damage to clothes.
