Neolith Cuff in oxidised silver and keumboo by Rhona McCallum

Hammer textured oxidised recycled sterling silver and keumboo (24ct gold detail) cuff bracelet, with folds to catch the light from all angles.

Rhona first made her Neolith cuffs in 2017, and since then these comfortable and easy to wear pieces have become some of her most popular designs.

The cuff can be made to order in a larger or smaller size, however the standard size can be gently squeezed tighter to fit and generally fits most wrists. The texture and details are unique to each piece. Cuff width 38mms.

Keumboo is a traditional Korean gilding technique where a fine layer of 24ct gold is fused to the surface of silver. Rhona uses it to highlight and enhance the hammered lines and textures in her pieces.

Rhona McCallum is showing an exclusive range of jewellery as part of the second edition of our virtual Dazzle exhibition – Dazzle Invites.

Dazzle invites 30 contemporary jewellers, showing unique, one-off or limited edition designs, created specially for the exhibition. All pieces are available to purchase from 16 November 2021 – 9 January 2022.

Features

  • Primary Material : keumboo (24ct gold) and Oxidised recycled sterling silver
  • Inside Diameter (mm) : 60
  • One of a Kind : No
  • Hallmarked : Yes

Cleaning Instructions

Clean gently using a soft brush and warm soapy water. Do not use silver dip on oxidised pieces as this will remove the patina. Please remove any oxidised rings when washing up or washing your hands.

Oxidising is a chemical process that darkens the appearance of silver. Over time oxidised jewellery may begin to lighten up, and you may see some silver reappearing around the edges, particularly in pieces such as rings and bangles, that move and come into contact with other surfaces. Due to this I recommend that oxidised rings are not worn day-to-day.Should you wish to have your piece re-oxidised this can easily be done.
