Tidal series neckpiece in mustard yellow by caroline finlay

Necklaces / Pendants
by caroline finlay

Individually handmade using the ancient technique of enamelling - the main pendant has an embossed detail and is half covered in mustard yellow enamel. A blue-grey enamel side detail and dark grey oxidised silver contrasts well with the yellow.

The main pendant measures 3 x 3 cm

Techniques used mean each piece is unique with no two pieces being exactly identical.

Features

  • Primary Material : silver
  • Other Materials : vitreous enamel
  • Length (inches) : 21.5
  • One of a Kind : No
  • Metal : sterling silver
  • Hallmarked : Yes

Cleaning Instructions

Enamel can be washed in warm soapy water if it becomes dirty. A little vaseline can be applied to all pieces to help enhance oxidisation and enamel colour.

Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hardwearing, care should be taken not to apply force or scratch the surface.

Oxidisation will wear off with silver dip, abrasion or household chemical e.g. bleach.
