Donna Barry

Edinburgh College of Art graduate, Donna Barry has developed her own customised technique of fusion. Donna creates intricate textured sheets in precious metal by layering shapes, inspired by repetition in nature and architectural patterns. She then fuses and forms the metal to produce pieces that resemble elegant structures and symmetry found in flora and fauna. Donna works predominately with a soft colour palette of silver and rose gold, often incorporating precious and semi-precious stones. Donna works intuitively with her chosen materials and it is often the technique that comes first, allowing shapes and forms to develop through the making process.
