Brooches by Emily Higham Four piece rectangle curved brooch in a contrasting tangine orange enamel with blue and silver leaf. This piece is hallmarked and is one of a kind.Dimensions: Approximately 4.5 cm x 3.7 cmMaterials: Enamel, Sterling Silver, Silver Leaf, SteelInspired by the colours and patterns of honeycomb, this brooch has been fired repeatedly in the kiln with layers of Vitreous and Industrial Enamel to achieve the organic patterns within the enamel. Lastly, silver leaf has been added to give a lovely shimmering effect, especially when the brooch catches the light. Each pattern is completely unique due to the hand drawn qualities and the nature of the enamel when fired in the kiln, therefore making this piece one of a kind. Using a soft toothbrush, silver can be lightly brushed with warm soapy water and cleaned with a soft cloth.
