Pebble series is inspired by Eve’s travels around the coastline of Scotland, where she spent days admiring tall grass, white sandy beaches and highland waterfalls. Bringing in organic motifs into her work, Eve is experimenting with the balance between weight and size in her pieces. She merges together the very familiar and comforting shape of a pebble and 3d printed nylon, creating an object that is weightless and immensely satisfying to hold.
This brooch features a handmade sterling silver frame with an open back, which beautifully shows off the colour at the back of the pebble. The shape of the 3d print is hollow and light and it is complimented by slightly weightier silver, making it a pleasant object to hold and wear. Eve dyes each pebble individually by hand using a combination of fabric dyes and gold leaf is applied by hand.
The brooch is laser hallmarked in Edinburgh Assay office in 2021.
