One off brooch made entirely by hand. Each gold outline is shaped individually and soldered shut to create a continuous line prior to soldering to the piece. There are over 40 solder joints in the construction. The enamel is wet packed with a fine paintbrush and fired several times in numerous layers of 24 opaque and transparent colours in a kiln. The piece is ground back by hand before a final firing and matting with acid and the silver oxidised. The brooch is signed in gold on the reverse with the artist’s signature.
