Enamelling is a technique of fusing powdered glass to metal and the enamel can be fairly hard wearing, however, please take care not to drop your piece or apply any force. Remove your piece before showering, avoid getting it wet and any exposure to chemicals. It is recommended to put your piece on over soft floor such as carpet. These earrings are oxidised which means the silver is placed in a chemical solution to blacken the silver. Oxidisation is semi-permanent and the colour may fade and rub off over time, especially if in contact with chemicals and with any abrasion.
