Earrings by Sue Gregor These contemporary recycled plastic earrings were inspired but looking at palm trees on my holidays! I love the way the leaves show up against the dark background. The surface pattern was created using individual conifer leaves. They are collected, dried and pressed then used to emboss the surface. I use my own method of dying and embossing acrylic which I call 'fossilized plastic' due to the fine details, like fossils, that are captured on the embossed surface. The colours are applied around the leaves like stencils, making each component individual.I harness nature to create original pieces, which are a memory of each individual skeleton leaf. This botanical necklace evokes both a contemporary and a vintage feel. A classic piece that can be worn for years. The earrings really catch the light and I have been told to attract a lot of attention!HANDMADE IN UK Features Primary Material : recycled plastic Other Materials : sterling silver Length (mm) : 90 Fitting Type : Hook Dimensions (mm) : 65 x 12 x 5 One of a Kind : No Hallmarked : No Wire Material : sterling silver Cleaning InstructionsWipe clean with a damp cloth.
