Inspired by Victorian butterfly ring jewellery, these earrings are pinned like butterflies in collection cases. A real skeleton leaf has been used to create the design. It is then backed by silver leaf to ape the sheen of a butterfly wing. They are made using my own method of dying and embossing plastic which I call 'fossilized plastic' due to the fine details, like fossils, that are captured on the embossed surface. I harness nature to create original pieces they are a memory of each individual skeleton leaf. Each one is individual and unique, making these botanical beauties both contemporary and classically vintage. A real party pair and ideal Christmas gift!
