Tidal Neckpiece Green by caroline finlay

Necklaces / Pendants
by caroline finlay

Individually handmade using the ancient technique of enamelling - the main pendant has an oxidised textured detail along the top and an olive green enamel surface. A matt grey enamel side detail and the oxidised, matt, dark grey silver contrasts well with the matt finished green enamel.

The main pendant measures 3.5 x 3.5cm

The chain can be worn 2" shorter.

Techniques used mean each piece is unique with no two pieces being exactly identical.

Features

  • Primary Material : silver
  • Other Materials : enamel
  • Length (inches) : 20
  • One of a Kind : No
  • Metal : sterling silver
  • Hallmarked : Yes

Cleaning Instructions

Enamel can be washed in warm soapy water, with a soft brush if it becomes discoloured. A little vaseline can be applied to all pieces to help enhance oxidisation and enamel colour.

Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hardwearing, care should be taken not to apply force or scratch the surface.

Oxidisation can wear off with silver dip, abrasion or household chemical e.g. bleach.

When not worn keep piece wrapped in acid free tissue paper (provided) to help prevent tarnishing.
