Lace Armour Half Mask by Katherine James

The Lace Armour collection celebrates the nuance of our identities by crafting the ‘masculine’ material of chainmail into ‘feminine’ lace-like patterns through Katherine’s signature process. The highly intricate designs are created by individually threading in links to slowly build these complex pieces.

Katherine’s series of masks were created in response to the compulsory protective masks we adopted during the pandemic. Katherine was inspired by the ways in which many people embraced the opportunity to be creative with this new accessory. Her masks can be worn as standalone jewellery or as an expressive layer over a protective fabric mask.

Katherine James is showing an exclusive range of jewellery as part of the third edition of our virtual Dazzle exhibition – Dazzle Invites.

Dazzle invites 30 contemporary jewellers, showing unique, one-off or limited edition designs, created specially for the exhibition. All pieces are available to purchase from 16 November 2022 – 8 January 2023.
