Dazzle 40 | Anna Gordon
Anna Gordon's work is an exploration of form, movement and composition. She is influenced by her surrounding and in most recent years this has been predominately expressed in the form of the brooch.
Anna uses precious metals and each piece often has moving elements or a sense of movement. She is interested in the idea of creating volume without weight, experimenting with paper thin metal in tube or folded forms. Manipulating the metal in this way gives it strength and allows her to build structures that have volume and scale without weight making the pieces ultimately wearable.
Anna first exhibited at Dazzle in 1994. View all the 40 brooches for 40 years exhibition.
