Earrings by John Field These halved earrings are made from sterling silver and 24ct gold and when fitted together they measure 30mm in diameter. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where the gold is fused to the silver. Letters and symbols have been punched into the surface by hand, so each pair will be slightly different. The surface of the earrings has been given a worn effect to simulate the look of an antique found object.
