Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hardwearing, care should be taken not to apply force or scratch the surface. Tarnish on gold plate (vermeil) can be cleaned by gently rubbing with a soft jewellery polishing cloth.When not worn keep piece wrapped in acid free tissue paper (provided) to help prevent tarnishing.
