Dazzle 40 | John Field
John Field has been a regular exhibitor since his debut at the Edinburgh Festival Dazzle of 1988, where he sold his first ever piece of jewellery, a large one-off pendant sold to an American buyer. He has exhibited in around 80 Dazzle exhibitions since as well as gaining invaluable experience working as a member of staff on the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester exhibitions. He now works with his wife and business partner Dawn, on several collaborative ranges of jewellery, available here on Lovedazzle, including their signature asymmetrical silver range, where one earring will feature a gemstone cabochon and the other one some brass decoration. John also still works on one-off exotic hardwood pieces, or “Urban survival kits”. One idea from the early days that is still used today is where one piece of jewellery, a pendant or brooch for example, will open to reveal a pair of earrings.
